Keymap
The base and Fn layers of the Made of Waves firmware.
The firmware has two layers. The base layer is a compact QWERTY layout. Holding Fn switches to layer 1 while you hold it. Keys that aren't listed on layer 1 keep their base function.
These are the defaults from the default and via keymaps in keebdeck_clone. Both keymaps are identical; the via build adds runtime remapping.

Firmware behavior worth knowing
- Space dedupe. The three space domes are mapped to
KC_SPC,KC_SPC2, andKC_SPC3. Custom code counts how many are held, sends one space press when the first goes down, and releases it when the last comes up. - Backlight timeout.
BACKLIGHT_TIMEOUTinconfig.his 10,000 ms. After that much idle time the backlight turns off; the next keypress restores the previous level. - Debug output. The firmware enables QMK debug and matrix printing, so
qmk consoleshows each key event. This is useful when diagnosing a key that doesn't register.
Remapping
You don't need to recompile to change keys. With the via firmware (the default on shipped units), use VIA. It can remap both layers.
